Migration planning
An inventory of every system, its dependencies and the right route for each.
Move legacy systems to the cloud without the weekend outage or the surprise bill. We plan each system’s move, do the work and tune it once it’s running.
Some applications can be lifted to the cloud almost as they are. Some need a new database or a container first. A few are worth rebuilding. Treating them all the same is how migrations run over time, over budget, or both.
We look at each system and pick the route: rehost, replatform or refactor. Then we move them in a sensible order, test each one under real load and keep a way back until it’s proven. After the move we tune performance and cost, because the first cloud bill is rarely the right one.

Moves done in stages, with rehearsals and a rollback plan for each one.
Architectures that span AWS, Azure and your own servers where needed.
Right-sized resources, reserved capacity and clean-up of what nobody uses.
Containers and Kubernetes for the systems worth modernising.
Access control, encryption, backups and a recovery plan that has been tested.
A multi-courier shipping platform that went from launch to 20,000 shipments in its first month, then kept growing.
One web platform for ideas, funding, projects and delivery. It became BMW’s template for Agile delivery, and it has been in use for over ten years.
One app for tradespeople: live crew tracking, quotes, jobs and invoices, chat and video, built to scale to millions of users on a tight budget.

Rehost, replatform or refactor for each system, in a safe order, with a budget.
Each wave tested under load, cut over in a quiet window, with a way back.
Performance and cost tuning once real traffic is running.
Rehost moves an application as it is ("lift and shift"). Replatform makes small changes, such as switching to a managed database. Refactor rebuilds parts of the application to use cloud-native services. Most migrations use all three for different systems.
We plan each cutover to keep downtime to a short, scheduled window, and for many systems we can switch with none at all.
It can be, but not automatically. We size resources from real usage, remove waste and set up cost alerts, so the bill is known and justified.
Both work well. The best choice usually depends on your existing licences, skills and tools. We’re happy on either, or both.
It depends on how many systems there are and how much change each one needs. After a free 30-minute call we send a plan and estimate, usually within a week.
